yours is faulty. Take it back, it should have 36 hours. Mine does.

Well, I seriously JUST got mine about 7 hours ago for my birthday, but I’ve been reading up about them a lot.
I know for any type of device such as these you should always charge it as much as it will before you even play with it, then completely kill it and charge it again, without messing with it while it is. So, try that.
But also, it may just be the natural battery life span.
Most reviews I’ve read say about 12 hours playing music, 4 playing video. So it takes a lot of juice to run the videos. I mean, look at the screen capabilities…that’s not mind boggling.
