Is there a hack that lets you run iPod Touch applications on the Archos 5?

    Not possible. Probably never possible. Good luck.

    The iPod Touch and the iPhone series run on Cocoa OS, which is a custom Apple designed OS based on UNIX and specific for Apple devices only. Someday, someone may find a way to install the OS onto the Archos device, but it could be a while, and the chances are slim at best, so I wouldn’t hold my breath.

    I don’t think so… b/c a lot of the apps on the ipod use the accelerometer, the archos doesn’t have that… also it doesn’t have the same OS

    GET THE ARCHOS 5 it a lot better than the ipod touch… and plus you dont look as dumb following the ipod fad….
