I’ve been looking into this; thinking about getting one, but since I have an iPhone i’m not sure if this would be just another gadget I wouldn’t use much.

Is it comfortable for browsing? Does it lag much? I had a HTC Hero (Android powered) and it was nice, but browsing (and just general use) got quite laggy after a while…

stop lying. they only have flash 9. every website is using flash 10 so it does not matter. and they have been saying adobe is working on flash 10 for the past 18 months!!

Yes most sites use Flash 10 which is backwards compatible for Flash 9… Very few flash apps won’t work with the Archos 5 and when they don’t it’s because of the size not Flash itself… Not to mention the Archos is now able to be developed for freely so it won’t be long before someone hacks Flash 10 on this through Linux…

i have an archos7 and love it, however it should note that it only supports flash 9 LITE!!! which means most flash 9 vids on the net including youtube wont play. Hopefully a f/ware update will sort this. Browsing is great on the 7, does reboot occasionally PUT THAT down to my impatience:) the thing with the plugins plays VOB files ie direct video files drag and drop which is a huge plus video looks awesome, sound is awesome, the battery seems to last forever. And the web radio and tv is endless
